Attorney and Accountant, Mr. Valdés studied at the College of Law (1972) and the Charles Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (1974), from the DePaul University, in Chicago.
He holds a Master Degree in Tax Law by the DePaul University (1978). He is specialized in U.S. Tax Law, focusing in international tax planning, specially regarding Latin American countries.
He is resident partner for Machado Asociados Advogados e Consultores in Chicago. He was also partner in Chicago for Coopers & Lybrand between 1985 and 1991, Mayer, Brown & Platt between 1991 and 1994, and Ernst & Young between 1994 and 2002.
